Strips can be quickly cut down to size and come with double-sided adhesive tape, adding to the ease of installation. They must be powered by a constant 24VDC.
Our high-density strips provide more brightness and a better-quality light output, especially with a dedicated white LED versus all-in-one low-density LED strips.
For custom lengths, the LED strips can be cut every 3 LEDs where they are marked on the solder pads. Use 18-22 gauge wire or LED strip connectors to join multiple strips, however, for high-density strips it is recommended not to exceed 16.4 feet. Otherwise, you could have voltage drop and may notice the brightness from one end to the other is different.
If your application needs more than the maximum run length, you can wire strips in parallel (homerun the power back to the DMX controller instead of just adding to the existing strip.
A 24-volt DC Power Supply is required to run these LED Strip Lights. We recommend totaling up the entire installed wattage and then adding 10-15% overhead. Brand-name Mean Well power supplies that have proven to last and deliver high quality for years are available in our store.
